Pioneer Cabin was built as a ski hut in 1937 by the Union Pacific railroad for its clients and employees.   It sits on a saddle at 9300 feet altitude overlooking the Pioneer Mountain range.  It is a working cabin, with bunks, a stove, and some sparse provisions…and lots of graffiti!
