The Washington Mutual Building was completed in 1995, and is located on North Capital Boulevard. It is a high-rise building and its architectural style is postmodern, which is characterized by familiar shapes and ideas being used in unexpected ways. There are eleven floors in the Washington Mutual Building and it is used generally for office space, while some people live in the apartments on the higher floors. It is 160 feet tall, making it noticeable in Downtown Boise. The Washington Mutual Building is special to Boise in that it is something different and helps our city by adding to its charm. It gives many workers a great office, and many lucky residents a great place to live, that’s not too far from the movies, good shopping, or a great place to eat.
